Quick Facts
- Lifelong Moab local
- Builder & operator mindset
- Straight talk, clean process
- Outdoor-first lifestyle
I’m Preston Walston — lifelong Moab local and Principal Broker at Moab Premier Properties. I’m not a pushy salesperson and I don’t overcomplicate things. I approach real estate the same way I approach building and investing: understand the numbers, understand the risk, then execute clean.
My background spans business, construction, and real estate development, which gives me a different lens than most agents. I’m always asking the practical questions — what actually matters, where the leverage is, and how this decision plays out long-term.
I love Moab for the land, the lifestyle, and the community. When I’m not working, I’m usually outside, training, building something, or planning the next adventure. If you want honest answers and a calm, straightforward process, you’re in the right place.
If you’re thinking about buying, selling, or investing in Moab, shoot me a text. I’ll tell you what I’d do if it were my own money.

Janie has lived in the Moab area since 1954 and knows the region first-hand — not just the properties, but the land, the history, and how this market truly works. Over the years, she has successfully negotiated transactions of all types for both buyers and sellers, from first homes to major investment properties.
Clients value Janie for her patience, integrity, and ability to listen. She takes the time needed to help clients find the right property, even if the process takes longer than expected. She also brings more than 15 years of professional experience in mapping and surveying, giving her exceptional insight into land, boundaries, and the physical realities of property in southeastern Utah.
Giving back to the community has always been central to Janie’s life and career. She served nine years as a commissioner for the Housing Authority of Southeastern Utah and was instrumental in bringing affordable housing to Moab. Her community involvement has also included the Moab Rotary Club, Seekhaven Shelter, the Moab Museum, mentoring at the local elementary school, and leadership on the Moab Chamber of Commerce Board, where she served as President in 2000.
Janie currently serves on the Utah Association of Realtors Grievance Committee, a role she has held continuously since 1995, and is the education chairperson for the local MLS board, coordinating continuing education for area agents.
Outside of real estate, Janie enjoys time with her family, including her seven grandchildren. She loves music, walking, camping, hiking, fishing, and traveling — especially throughout southeastern Utah. While she enjoys exploring new places, returning home to Moab is always a joy. Janie feels fortunate to call this area home and loves helping others do the same.

Quick Facts
- Former elementary educator
- Master’s in Instructional Design
- Deeply involved in Moab community
- Local lifestyle & recreation expert
I retired from my elementary school teaching career and I guess you could say I flunked retirement. I hold a master’s degree in Instructional Design Technology and am a National Board Certified Teacher. Since moving to Moab in 2012, I’ve been passionate about staying active, involved, and connected to the community I love.
I currently serve on the Moonflower Market Community Co-op board of directors and volunteer for many local events throughout the year. Some of my favorite roles include working the starting line crew for Moab half marathons, helping with parking at Moab Music Festival concerts, assisting with costumes for the Moab Community Theater, and staffing the “housing” table at Grand County Middle School’s Reality Town day.
I’m also part of the clean-up crew for holiday community dinners, and one of my favorite volunteer traditions is ringing the Salvation Army bell outside City Market during the holiday season. Giving back to Moab is something I truly enjoy.
Living in Moab is the perfect fit for my love of recreation and the outdoors. I enjoy hiking, river rafting, skiing, and taking advantage of everything this incredible area has to offer.
I would be honored to help you buy or sell real estate in Moab. Life in the Red Rocks is never dull with my husband and fellow real estate agent, Kevin Fitzgerald. We are blessed to be “Living the Moab Dream,” and I would love to help you join our club.

Quick Facts
- Moab resident since 1992
- Licensed Realtor for over 20 years
- Professional outdoor guide
- Deep local & land knowledge
I moved to Moab in 1992 and earned my real estate license about a year later, shortly after completing my bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah at age 37. Before entering real estate, I spent many years as a dairy farmer working alongside my father on the family farm in Draper, Utah, where I grew up.
With more than twenty years as a Realtor, my favorite part of the job has always been meeting amazing people — many of whom have become lifelong friends. I take pride in building real relationships and helping clients feel confident and comfortable throughout the buying or selling process.
I am deeply involved in the Moab community. I currently serve on the board of directors for Grand County’s waste management and recycling operation, volunteer for many local events and music festivals, and am a member of the Moab Chamber of Commerce. I am also a professional guide with the Moab Adventure Center, leading guided hikes in Arches National Park and slickrock Hummer tours.
Outside of real estate, music and the outdoors are central to my life. I play Native American flutes, drums, didgeridoo, ukulele, and a variety of percussion, string, and woodwind instruments. I have been an avid hiker since my first hike in the Moab red rocks in 1962, when I was ten years old.
When winter arrives, I enjoy skiing in the La Sal Mountains — the “greatest snow on Earth” just south of Moab. Year-round, the Colorado River calls to me, and I kayak as often as possible. I meditate regularly and connect to the universal spirit through the music I play on Native American flutes. Thank you, Great Mystery.
I am living in paradise and plan to spend the rest of my life here. As your Realtor, I will help you buy or sell your perfect place at the perfect time for the perfect price. Join me in Living the Moab Dream.
